About & Accountability
The Downtown Austin Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity and the philanthropic arm of the Downtown Austin Alliance. We raise private support to preserve and enhance the arts and culture, parks and green spaces, and small businesses that make downtown feel like Austin. Because the Downtown Austin Alliance supports the Foundation’s administrative and overhead costs, your investment goes further, into the programs.
Our mission is to strengthen Downtown Austin through fundraising and partnerships that make possible the projects and programs that create, preserve and enhance the vibe, vitality and value of downtown for everyone.
Our vision is a thriving and inclusive Downtown Austin, where resources and partnerships fuel the programs, projects and spaces that benefit and inspire the entire community.
Board of Directors
The Foundation is governed by an independent Board of Directors which establishes strategic priorities, approves programs and initiatives and ensures the responsible stewardship of charitable contributions to maximize their impact on Downtown Austin.
